“I hired Steve to design and install the entry gardens to our house. The location was a fairly steep slope that was difficult to mow, and in full sun. I wanted year-round interest, but not requiring frequent planting or tending. With a combination of hollies, nandinas, barberries and several focal point trees, my entry gardens look great all year. Steve oversaw the tilling of yards of compost to improve water retention and enrich the existing soil. Plants were carefully set out according to his plans and have blended into a harmonious tapestry. As a long time gardener, I was impressed with Steve's knowledge of plant material and the way he combined it. He is easy to work with and has an artistic eye. I would highly recommend his services.”

“We hired Wendy Meyer in 2011 to renovate our back yard from a traditional (and boring) lawn into a place where I could grow vegetables and landscape plants appropriate for an increasingly hot and dry climate. She created a beautiful space with curved, stone-trimmed raised beds for vegetable gardening, a tank for goldfish and water plants, native flowering plants set around decomposed granite walkways, and a wind sculpture that looks like a flower unfolding. Two years later we asked her to renovate our side yard in a similar theme, and she designed raised beds with native prairie grasses, flowering plants and fruit trees as well as a fourth vegetable bed. She picked attractive materials appropriate for the hot and dry climate, helped us find qualified contractors, oversaw construction, and followed up to answer my questions and check on plant health. I have happily recommended her to several friends who have seen the yard and asked, "who designed this for you?"”

“My wife and I had little understanding of the design process or how to stage the development of our landscape project. Mrs. Boeschenstein was very accurate in her estimate and evaluation of the scope of our endeavor and thanks to her experience guided us through this labor. She helped us understand the order in which things would proceed and recommended several contractors who proved to be very skilled and reliable. She addressed issues regarding drainage and irrigation that I hadn't even considered. She turned our pool into a remarkable living space through her beautiful design and balanced eye. Even the smallest details were not overlooked thanks to her high expectations. I simply love the terraced gardens, balance of materials (stone, wood and metal) and colorful palate of flowers and shrubs. Most importantly, she tied it all together so it is cohesive, functional and beautiful. I am so very happy with the final result.”
