“Cathy is worth every cent I spent on her. I used her services for an internal renovation. She recommended 2 good builders - one of whom I choose to work with - she dealt with all things Council as well as finding solutions to 'things' that came up during the renovation, as they do with an old house. “We had designed our first new home ourselves, but second time around it wasn’t so easy. We had a basic concept in mind, but couldn’t bring it all together and “make it fit”. We chose Mike for two reasons, firstly he’d been recommended by a friend to check him out and we loved the look of his previous designs, and secondly because he’d completed a builder’s apprenticeship. It was important to us that our architect also had practical building knowledge. Mike came back to us with a design that incorporated all the things that we had asked for, but also added some quirky features and design elements that we would never have come up with on our own. He visited us on site, and was always respectful of our preferences and worked hard to pull the whole design together. We would definitely recommend him to others who are looking for a professional, considerate, and innovative architect.”

“We decided to use Robyn, from Essence Design, when she was recommended to us. Robyn was always extremely professional, polite, with a wonderful personality. She is very knowledgeable and we experienced excellent communication throughout the process. We purchased as old industrial building (just a shell really) and wanted work areas for our business and an apartment for living. Robyn listened to our needs and produced a stunning design which was exactly what we had invisioned. We are absolutely thrilled with the result. We would definitely use Robyn (Essence Design) again and highly recommend her to others.”

“Richard designed and project managed our house. He asked us for our ideas about what we wanted in a house and then produced a design that was better than anything I could have imagined myself. It is a practical house, yet has delightful quirks to it. Richard understood that we were working to a budget, and whenever we made suggestions that would push the price up, he would remind us of the costs. He worked closely with the builder during construction, and we had very minimal cost over-run, much less than what we budgeted for.”
