“We have used Ambient architecture on 3 projects now. Our first project was a conversion of a recording studio in Temple Bar into a wonderful "upside down" duplex apartment with cathedral ceilings and a roof garden. We were over the moon with the result; there was a real wow factor. Next we moved on to renovating an Edwardian house in Rathgar and we went straight back to Ambient to do the design and oversee it to completion. Once again we were really delighted with the results. Our most recent project was our current house in Rathgar which is a Victorian. The house was in a terrible state when we bought it so it required a top to bottom makeover. Stefan in Ambient designed a beautiful modern light-filled extension at the rear and oversaw the delivery of a really top notch job on the renovation of the old part of the house. Iknow that in between our various projects Ambient went on to win an architectural competition for the design of a sports hall in a south Dublin school. “Tasked with the complete renovation of a large seaside 1960s holiday property, and with no prior experience of property renovation I found myself in need of expert advice. The house suffered from a litany of problems dating back to the original build, which needed immmediate remedy, and also required an internal reconfiguration to make it more suitable for modern living. “We bought a mid terrace, three bedroom house in a very dilapidated state. With the complete guidance of Anthony at ABA Architects we built a two story extension to include a large open plan garden room leading on to a patio ( though double sliding doors ), a kitchen complete with utility and downstairs toilet, an extension to the master bedroom and an en-suite. As we walk from the hall into the living area we are met with a curved wall on the right which houses the downstairs toilet and utility. It is a superb feature, one we are delighted with and which every guest compliments. The build went very smoothly considering the size of the job and to have Anthony project manager for us was fantastic. No stone was left un-turned. We now have a beautiful, comfortable home. We are delighted with the end result.”
