“We are currently working on two bathroom renovations Tami designed for us. This is the second time we get to work with her. Previously she designed custom draperies and helped us give our family room an update. Her draperies are gorgeous! Tami is very good at seeing your vision and pulling it together professionally and within budget. She provides a complete visual presentation and notebook to follow for purchasing, contacts, etc with an itemized breakdown of the budget to follow. She makes it very easy for someone like me who kind of knows what she wants but gets overwhelmed trying to make too many decisions. She delivered her designs within the time frame she gave us and her contractor referrals are very good. Tami also has great follow through with the projects. We have also found that her designer discounts from local vendors help cover her reasonable design fees so it is a win win.”

“I have been working with Jennifer from The Old Painted Cottage since 2011. I had been a faithful blog reader (http://theoldpaintedcottage.com/) and admirer of her style for a long time before getting the courage to contact her to see if she would agree to a design consultation to help me revamp my living room. My husband and I had recently moved into a 1960's ranch - that still looked like it was from the 1960s! I was so frustrated with trying to "design" my house on a budget and getting nowhere – I desperately wanted and needed help. Jennifer's energy, excitement, ability to translate what I wanted to the redesign of my space - and all within my budget - was incredible! One of the most amazing things about Jennifer is that she patiently taught me many interior design secrets that I never knew but have since been able to apply to my whole home (e.g., hanging drapes higher than the top of the window, displaying décor items in threes, adding pops of complementary color, etc.) Needless to say, it is 2014 and Jennifer has let me hire her to design almost every room in my house! Since 2011, I’ve had two babies and she helped me design both nurseries. Jennifer also helped me revamp my master bedroom, TV room, and the sunroom! Currently, we are doing a whole house consult on a little lake cabin my husband and I recently purchased. Overall, Jennifer is a consummate professional, her fees are ridiculously reasonable, and she is able to “get into a space” and transform it simply by looking at before photos. Jennifer is a gem! “Gail worked with us on choosing colors for the exterior of an 1887 Victorian cottage belonging to the San Gabriel Historical Association. We showed her a picture from a magazine of a color scheme we liked. In addition to choosing an appropriate color scheme, it was our hope to enhance the various architectural elements present on the front facade of the cottage, which were previously all one color. Gail made several visits to the site and various test colors were applied. She is a great listener and wanted to know about our vision. She values the client's input. She explains how colors work together and about the element of undertones. Gail knows color! Three of the four colors she suggested were an immediate hit with us, especially the accent colors--colors we would never have considered. Our greatest challenge was finding just the right off-white shade for the trim. Gail is a perfectionist, patient and persistent. At last, she found the right one--we could all see it. It has been magical to see the painting of the house unfold. We are working with four colors and Gail did the color layout, as well. Again, we had no clue how to do that, but Gail did! Gail is an artist and it is a pleasure to see the artist's eye at work. The painters keep remarking on what a great color scheme we have. People drive by and stop to photograph the house, even other painters on their way to work! They always want to know the names of the colors. It has been a pleasure to work with Gail. She is a darling--a class act! We are grateful she was sent our way!”
