“I live in New Jersey and have a few properties in Massachusetts. I needed work done on two of my properties. I normally send my team of guys up there when work or repairs are needed but this time I couldn't because of poor timing. I spoke to a handful of contractors over the phone. When I spoke to Chris from Develop X Properties, he reached my comfort level in the first minute of our convo. He assured me the work would be done within my budget and in a timely fashion. The most important part is that he kept me updated throughout the whole process. Chris was very responsive and very transparent. They did a fabulous job on both of my properties. This project gave me absolutely ZERO headaches thanks to Chris and his team. I strongly recommend Develop X to anyone looking for a trustworthy professional company.”

“Fresh Start was excellent to work with from start to finish. They ordered a gorgeous reclaimed Heart Pine floor in our #1 Quartersawn grade for a high-end renovation job in Harvard Square. The job was well-organized and the schedule was budgeted appropriately to allow for flooring acclimation and installation times. Jobsite was neat and orderly and delivery was organized/executed well, despite the extremely narrow side street and tight driveways of the neighborhood. From start to finish, Fresh Start was easy to work with. They knew how to plan for and work with a high-end finish product and treated it and us with respect. Our experience working with them to patch historic white pine and Heart Pine floors in the area has been similar. We recommend their work to clients in the Boston area.”

To top it all a detailed comprehensive contract has kept the project surprisingly on budget. In addition, we are extremely impressed with Steeplechase Builders' highly skilled team of meticulous subcontrators for their adherence to the contract's promised seamlessly co-ordinated schedule, date of completion and fair pricing which is very rare in the building industry.”

Being first time homeowners, it was important that we found a contractor we can trust to guide us through the process start to finish. Kurt and his team could not have been more accommodating to our requests and questions. Not only did they deliver our dream home renovations, which includes a finished basement, new basement full bath, and master suite with walk-in closet, they stayed within a reasonable budget and timeframe. “I never do reviews- seriously. However, these guys are great. They are profession, extremely hard working, clean, fair.. and of course they do a great job !! I don't know what else to say except for they are so good they have me doing more projects than I expected to..... So happy with them and would definately recommend.”

“Dave is an excellent craftsmen, and intelligent builder. He returns calls on time, texts daily, and his pricing and work contract are very transparent We originally needed a window replaced, but the project morphed into a much larger project because of carpenter ants. He ended up having to replace all the shingling on one side of our house. Dave was very honest and clear on how the project escalated, what new costs were and gave us different options for budget and solutions. He encouraged us to go with a bit higher quality in materials, and we are really thankful we did the job right. It was late January and he and his fellow builder showed up in 10 degree weather for a week. His coworker was a pleasure to chat with every day, With 3 children at home, it’s important to feel comfortable with workers and I fully trust Dave and his Team. He always was meticulous with clean up. My one suggestion would be to understand his payment plan. We gave him a down payment and then wrote fairly substantial checks weekly. I felt like I was not always prepared with money in the bank to cover that week’s installments. I would prefer one deposit down and final payment at end but this was our only issue. His knowledge and expertise were worth it,! We were very pleased with the end result and quality of work and highly recommend him!”

Very respectful of us, encouraged open and frequent communication, used excellent sub-contractors, were committed to finishing on time, and meticulous about finish work. It was a wonderful experience.”
