We offer professional ceramic, porcelain, china, stone or plaster sculpture and pottery repair and restoration services for individuals, collectors, antique dealers, museums. We strive for the highest quality and we treat each object entrusted to us with the utmost care. We repair, fix and restore a wide range of materials which include pottery, ceramic, porcelain, china, terra-cotta, clay, stoneware, stone, plaster, resin, wood and other materials. We can provide different levels of repair for high-end restoration and can propose more affordable options and rates - see more about our restoration options below. We always do the best we can to be sensible with advising our customers on the best path with restoring (or not) the damaged valuable. Our repair and restoration services include almost any antique, collectible, art object, statue or sculpture. As our Before and After example page shows, the range of repairs we can perform is diverse - it can be a hairline crack, chipped item or multiple breaks. When items have missing pieces, Lakeside Pottery can match the ceramic material and restore the original look and feel. And when necessary, we have the unique capability, as ceramic artists, of sculpting or taking an impression of missing pieces, reproducing them from clay and kiln firing the duplicated pieces (instead of a Polymer based filler option) to insure uniformity of materials and retain the restored item's value. At times, making a Custom Made replica in our pottery studio is a more cost effective option which you may choose.

Fusing art, history, and culture, we have been traveling Latin America for years in search of its finest works of folkloric art. Their discoveries led them to the creation of Cactus Fine Art, an exclusive selection of handmade items from Mexico and Latin America's most recognized artisans. In acquiring pieces for the collection, the philosophy goes beyond aesthetics. They believe in getting to know each artisan and their families, learning about the traditions of their craftsmanship, and appreciating the culture of each region. Cactus Fine Arts was established to share these unique creations and stories with the world. Each piece represents the beauty of the artist's spirit and heart.

The Boyd’s Mixed Media Artist Jackie, Bob & Jim Boyd Our Dad, Jim Boyd Sr., was a skilled sign painter working by hand beginning in the 50’s for the Steel Pier and later in the sign shop of Atlantic City Convention Hall (now known as Boardwalk Hall). The shop catered to the convention business, local businesses, AC Race Track, the Piers and the Boardwalk. By the late 70’s casino gaming changed the face of the sign business, transforming the city from a seasonal resort to one with an exclusive on gaming year round. By the early 80’s Jackie, Bob & Jim Jr. joined the company. The nature of the art changed from all hand work to a combination of artistic skill and computer generated graphics. Over the course of 34 years we have worked together in an ever evolving capacity. Jackie is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia and is a painter. Bob is a graphic artist skilled in Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and similar programs that generate creativity digitally. Jim is carpenter familiar with a host of materials and tools bringing his expertise to the development of a quality product from inception to finish. Over the years we have gradually shifted our focus to a fine art venue. We began to develop a genre based on our interest in the abundance of wildlife, foliage, breathtaking ocean and beach imagery from the Jersey Shore and a combination of our talents. Bob’s love for photographing birds and shore scenes sparked all of our interests. It was hard to believe that all of this beauty was in our own backyard. We started to experiment with combining Jackie’s paintings with Bob’s photos digitally and came to develop a fusion of both of our interests into a unique mixed media piece of art. These pieces are one of a kind. Some of the images are printed and embellished with hand painting. We use different techniques including image transfer onto birch. This process often requires fusion of Jackie and Bob’s images, manipulation digitally for desired effect, then printing the image onto clear film. This film is transferred onto the birch and finished in a few coats of polyurethane. We also produce prints on canvas which are generally mounted on PVC for a clean presentation. We are able to reproduce our images in a variety of sizes and on wood or canvas.
