Update to my post: I spent a good part of the day (yesterday) reading reviews, posts from consumers as well as installers regarding vinyl plank flooring - specifically Shaw vinyl plank (floorte, 5 series). I am happy to say watching my installer put down my flooring was like reading the manufacturer's manual. Everything he did was spot on. My decorator (Terri w/TLC Interiors) dropped in and was extremely pleased with the product and the installation. My job was contracted through Costco and is being handled by Smart Carpet in NJ. I'll write another post in several months, but at this time, I'm extremely pleased with the job and the product.
