Here is a pic from the previous April (2014), when the raised beds were in the process of being created and many of the trees and vines had yet to be planted.

I finally got my wife's grudging approval to put some trees in the front yard. Hopefully the edging I used is both visually appealing and helps with mowing. There is a several inch wide flat part which extends into the lawn, so that grass can't grow right up to it.

Later that night, after washing and cutting. Potatoes are very tasty baked in butter. The purple ones were best, with an interesting dry/nutty flavor.

A few of the seedling apples I started in 2014. Some were open pollinated Goldrush and Golden Russet. Others are Goldrush (mother) crossed with Hudson's Golden Gem. I'm planning to take scions soon and graft half a dozen to a mature tree this spring.

The first year (in the last 3) that bagging didn't protect these grapes from black rot. I still got some, but they aren't very tasty to start with. I'll probably graft over them this spring.
