I like how the counter rests on the wood. Thought this might work to save space - put the cabinets only on the wall and have the bar counter "float"

I love the loungy feel of this. The more I look at it, the more I think maybe we just need a walk up bar so we have room for a comfy circular seating area?? The chairs would need to swivel though,
