Love hidden spaces - exploration and adventure. Any way we can make the house bleed into the lot and the open space that the lot adjoins - make the kids and us explore the space around the house - is great. MM-agree and there must be a balance between mystery and not providing a place with animals can hide without the kids being able to see them first.

Probably don’t want to maintain a water feature, but achieving that zen would be cool. MM-Agreed. We'll want to talk with the landscape designer to create sense of dry creek beds, etc.

Impressive Rock fireplace and exposed beams! Common areas are much more important than bedrooms. MM-agreed. You spend more time in kitchen/living/common areas and only sleep in bedrooms. Rock fireplace would be done on-site. Beams not necessary with modular framing, but we can discuss if you'd like to add for a look. They will drive up the cost. Balancing act vs other things you may want.

Walnut is cool. MM-Like this color palette better than the earlier pics. Like balance of lighter walls, medium floor and darker cabinets.
