I know that libradesigneye mentioned the loss of the architectural element from the wood in its natural state, but I've gotta tell you, I felt, with wood floors and a wood ceiling, and lots of windows, like yours, in between, like I was in the middle of a huge Oreo cookie that was smashing me.
Here is a picture that makes me think of yours - from another Houzz post. I still see architectural elements! (OK, and that killer view of a mountain, but...)
