Arrangements

So refreshing to see a different arrangement than the "box". No sectional or big twin sofas. Love the red, angled chairs and the eclectic accents. Comfortable, inviting.

Note how the large area allows for two seating spots, and one is put on an angle with the fireplace, and the chair angled in the corner of the windows, taking in gorgeous views.

Note how they've given the living room arrangement a slight angle away from the walls. Much more interesting than the "box treatment", with all lined up with and backed up to the walls. Much more inviting.

Snug the chairs closer together, warm things up with an area rug (or two) and bring in a few more upholstered seating pieces in. Cut the uncomfortable "bowling alley" feel.

How about angling the chairs (facing each other) away from the wall, then adding a small table in between; with or without a lamp.

While I'm not a big proponent of the "box" setup, this room does show how small to mid-size, side chairs can be easily added to the arrangement to give more seating, and interest.

Something makes me uncomfortable with this arrangement. Feels too close and confined. Just don't care for the oversized coffee table either. Am not a big fan of the "box" arrangement, but sometimes limited spaces require it.

The wrap around bench is quite a unique way to add lots more seating in a very limited space. Really like this one.

Another good example of using one light and table surface instead of two nightstands.

I would not suggest or have chosen to place the lamps and art this way. Perhaps with a smaller lamp placed over on the table, closer to the bed, or a bit larger art hung further away from the bed. This present arrangement seems to take away any enjoyment of either the art or the lamps, and feels uncomfortable.

Again, not the typical arrangement that might have been chosen, but it works here. And also affords more open floor space in a small room.

Most people wouldn't have tried the settee in this small space. Very nice.

This interesting spot and arrangement proves 1. A couch isn't always necessary; 2. Accent walls can be VERY effective; 3. Don't shy away from decorating odd spaces and places.

Notice the upholstered pieces are pulled out away from wall, and also set at angles. Area run unites seating into a comfortable, conversation area. BEAUTIFUL ROOM.
