Paint existing golden oak cabinets. Replace trim. What color? Raise bowls to gentleman's height unless there can be a filler between existing countertop to raise it up. Sticking with gray commode (unless husband insists - he hates this toilet) and gray shower insert ( no bathtub). Nice neutral white floor tiles are good. Clean gray grout. Strip wallpaper - UGH! Countertop surface?
