Something like this shelving might be good in the basement by the HVAC equitpment (in that room right outside)

The idea of tucking a small wet bar on the opposite wall of the bathroom is appealing to us. We would use it more as a family snack area and less as a "bar" if we are able to incorporate.

Maybe add molding around windows inside to dress up? I also saw a home that had white wood bookshelves and cabinetry surrounding windows like these that looked nice (the windows were at the top of a wall of built ins)
