Like this hood too - I don't know if there is enough room for the sides to come all the way to the counter and still keep it nice and wide and not closed in feeling. I guess if we're pulling the counter out a little at the range - that would help. I would like a deeper mantle shelf that what this appears to be.

something similar maybe for the "butler's pantry" wall by the dining room - minus the fridge of course. i do think i would like it to look a little more like a furniture piece even though the ovens will be there.
