Living ideas
LOVE this color palette. So soothing with deep bluegray, wood tones, linen and white. The vision I have been having includes a big landscape piece made by me, and on a white wall (but would be interesting on a wall the same color of the landscape, n'est-ce pas?) and of course the view outside really helps the composition of the thing. ALSO! clear coffee table to the rescue once again.
natural wood furniture. white walls with black accents. taupey floor, gray and cream on the furniture. this setup works. hard lines for grounding, plus soft forms and textures, makes it work. this is a cleaner version of my previous apartment vision, where the hard objects were industrial and the soft objects were cozy with soft lines.

Still love spaces like this. Would I use so much color for myself? Don't know. The chairs at center are great; the coffee table is only ok, the couch color is nice but maybe not for me, the lighting is good.

I like the lightness of this table and chairs. Will my precious table have to go when I find the right thing? Question 2: since I have that amazing stained glass pendant, how to make it into Something Beautiful without the room getting all old-timey? I don't want to drown in midcentury...
Gah! This is so close to my ideal combination! The leather couch is an idea I've een toying with. Definitely the white walls and the plant. The green chair is fine; the lightness and more contemporary look of the coffee table is good, the little bit of exposed wood is good too. Sofa: Hamilton from West Elm. Coffee table: Switch from Crate and Barrel. Rug from West Elm, no longer available.
I really really like this sofa with the shelf behind it and windows right there. The color palette works fine as a whole even though I would lose the pink and the green and add my yellow pillows...
Why it appeals: neutrals. Composition. Raw wood, leather, white, blue, greige. What's tough: shutters, stripes, wall color, turned table legs
Still kinda hung up on this large-expanse living idea (maybe with loft bedroom); a rug defines the living room and the rest could be my studio.
A house-shaped space!
There's something cool about this even while it's warm. Maybe because the couch is in the middle of the frame and the warmer wall becomes a backdrop.
