It has been interesting to see Phil's design take shape. We have made very few adjustments to the actual design. In our numerous discussions of how to place the house, Phil has done a great job. We will have incredible amounts of sunlight flowing through the main living areas of the house during the day-ESPECIALLY during the winter months. At night, the bedrooms will be nicely sheltered by the winds that at times blow very briskly across the property. Great Job! These are the fine details that Phil was able to capture for us, which we didn't even think about. I know that Phil had told us about the ceiling details during the design stage and for a non artistic person it was difficult for me to envision. Having seen it framed and how it fits with the arches through the hallway, and how at the end of the hallway, it is framed by a window that offers an incredible view, I have to say- I am truly impressed by Phil's attention to details. Thnx Phil! We worked with Phil recently. Phil was able to effectively listen to our needs/wishes and put our ideas into a design that we are very happy with. In terms of time, Phil and Matt were readily available for help and advice, often outside of "normal" work hours. They were willing to help in providing us with information about other trades that will help us achieve our goals. We have also shown the design to several builders for planning and logistics purposes and the general feedback has been that the design is coherent and well thought out. We will certainly call on Phil and Mat to do future work. It was a fabulous work relationship and I would highly recommend them to my friends and family. Thanks Guys! “I hired William Dewson Architects to design a summer cottage in Georgian Bay on a 5 acre island. Our first challenge was to figure out the site plan and where to put the cottage given numerous zoning restrictions and other natural fators. “I hired Gabriele and his company, Geometra Design in June 2012 to design a 3,500 square foot, 2 storey home that I will be building in south Etobicoke. Gabriele was able to complete concept design, committee of adjustment application and meeting, building permit design and application in less then 5 months. He was able to accomodate all aspects of the building permit requirements, including mechanical engineer, structural engineer and final renderings. His professionism and approach to the project, including deadlines was unsurpassed. He was able to facilitate all my needs, from design to building permit application (which in Toronto in not easy). His knowledge of the new digital building permit application requirements, made my application process very easy. I was told at the City of Toronto building department that most people do not have all the documents in the required format, but my application was perfect. I am very pleased with his work ethic and ability to respond to all requests.
