real blackened steel costs more than wood and aluminum but has a hand-made appeal (unlike factory finish aluminum). so said the architect $$$$

architect said if frames had been white they would have competed with the wood siding, but in black they disappear. so if I use the new black framed windows/doors in the g.r. then what will be featured is maybe the fireplace, or the back patio and the windows and doors will "disappear."
