S. Lovely high ceiling and good colour combinations. There would also be room for a pull-down shutter on the outside of the "pelmet" bulkhead. Also note the window above the doors. J. Disagree re colour combo. Think it's the coffee table colour that throws it off. Also don't like the chair closest to us. Agree with high ceilings. Definitely white ceiling is better than a timber colour.
S. From "The Cottage" at Drummoyne. Great flow from deck to yard to pool. Nice high ceiling and pull-down shutters. Really like this. Need advice on what to do on the northern edge for us (where the wooden slats are in this photo). J: yes we always go back to the cottage. I do like this. It's simple and nice aspect. Think the garden really helps here. Wooden slats great idea re privacy yet lets some light in especially when slats don't go right to the top. Plus ties the look in re the pool area where it hides the pool filter and stuff. The pull down shade is also good coz this was a west facing rear.
S. This is from the breakfast point house on bishop street that we looked through. Nice BBQ to dining to lounge flow. Opening above BBQ for extra light. Could possibly use different style/colour of tiles to define our zones. Note skylight. J: yep. Again like the slats and open section at top to let more light in. It was definitely a great flow from in to out. Yes skylight great but are we building on top of this??
Should be basically the same as our alfresco bench
