my countertops are lennon granite. The cabinets are stained black. flooring is rustic looking. any ideas for a backsplash?

So many ideas! Much depends if you want to introduce a new color or if you'd prefer to stay in the same color family (neutral dark) as your other finishes.

For an on-trend but still timeless look, how about glass subway tiles in a cool mint or aqua. Check out these shades

If you like the colors, they're available both in larger subway style or in sheets of smaller glass squares.

Another option is to go with a metallic tile, or even a combination of a neutral, perhaps a black, and a metallic accent. Metallics are big too, and come in a range of finishes and tones.

Hello! I would recommend something simple and clean since your granite has a lot of color and movement. A gray glass tile or white subway tile would be nice. See attached images for reference. Hope this helps. Good luck!

This gray glass is a good option if the home has a modern vibe. For more traditional, a light gray or ivory subway. Both H-Line and Sonoma Tilemakers offer options in ceramic subway tiles. Walker Zanger has a nice alternative to subway, 6th Avenue Cocoon Mosaic, it is contemporary. Casa dolce Casa Vetro Sfalsato would look nice with its clean lines and is elegant.

I agree - a simple back splash will highlight the gorgeous counters and dark wood. I like a glass or subway tile for your space. Beautiful job!

How about a glass mosaic backsplash? Just don't go too dark because you want to end up with some contrast between your cabinets, granite, and tile.
