this room shows the exact issue with the big cabinets but it also gives a lot for explaining about wanting the green cabinet to remain in the house but be inset so thaat the front of the cabinet base (exclusive of trim) sits flush with the surrounding wall area. Built in but with the trim jutting out into the space as a detail

Do we need the side light to make the distance between the kitchen bench fronr and the opposite side of the kitchen galley balanced? I am not sure we do but I want to discuss it.

It is just pretty. Practically speaking a mat oin the middle of the kitchen fllor is problematic with kids.

If the pantry door was a door to the outside it might be possible to place the fridge conviently for BBQs in this location. It could be tricky to balance the wall overall with it there

This space does something nice with the woindow above the sink working as a divider, a splashback and a light source. I think am not sure how it would go in a space with lower ceilings though

the fridge is in the walk way which is mitigated by the ability of thru traffic to go into the wider kitchen space if need be

Dining room view to the south is now made up of a feature wall that consists of the green cabinet . To the east it might be possible to have a small electric fireplace wall mounted adjacent to bedroom 2

more like this. back of the green cabinet should be colour matched to surrounding walls and the the timber and green allowed to remain as it is. I would like to put at least one 2xGPO in the back wall and add some internal lighting to the shelves to enhance it's display quality.
