Her design was simply brilliant, completely transforming a dingy little workman's cottage into a light filled modern space with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, and first rate fitout throughout. Yvonne has been there from the start, dealing with a very difficult council, then in the Land and Environment court and on site as required. We had to stand up to Leichhardt Council on this one (and the last one too actually) - think of her as a polite, highly knowledgable terrier. She is thoroughly across every aspect of her brief and was able to respond to all of the exigencies of council in a timely manner and was reasonable with costs. I am over the moon with the way the house turned out. As I stated to her the other day - you can't always tell from the plans, but seeing it in the flesh, it is much better than I imagined. I would not use another architect.”

“When we were ready to undertake our complete demolish and rebuild home renovation in Leichhardt, in Sydney's inner west, Jessica Matson was the obvious choice for us. I had been referred to Jessica by a business colleague, and prior to our house Jessica had already designed the new fit out of our recording studio/television production facility. Coming from a technical/construction background in heavy industry myself, I had very strong ideas on what we wanted to achieve with our build. Jessica's ability to realise our vision, and expand on it with her creativity and experience delivered us a design that melts the original 100 year old semi-terrace into open plan living. Our home is full of light, feels wonderful to live in, and flows seamlessly from one part of the house to the other. As an owner builder I still have much weekend work to complete the build, but now that we are back living in the house we can't wait to get the final result. We had a lengthy and difficult battle with Leichhardt Council during the DA process, including an appeal with the Land & environment Court. The whole process took nearly 4 years. He not only provided architectural services, he also project managed throughout the design, tender and build phases; plus he also assisted with interior design advice to ensure we achieved the total 'look' we wanted.
