I’d like all three of them the only thing that concerns me is with the burgundy one and the color of the cabinet. The rug tends to have a little rust in it. The picture of the artwork shows there’s a little gold so I think the gold base would look good with it.I am happy the way it turned out. I tend to like the white one better because the background the artwork is light also.

It was interesting today while I went out shopping. I went looking for artificial orchid at Tuesday morning, hobby lobby, T.J. Maxx and target. None of those places had them I finally found these at Ross.

I thought about maybe spray painting the gold planter black but just a thought.

Go with the white orchid then, and leave the planter gold. The space could use touch of gold. It looks like there might be a bit of gold in the knobs on the cabinet and in the balls in the basket, too.

I liked your idea about picture frames near the TV on the wall. But I am not a fan of artificial trees which I think they are just dust collectors is there anything else I could use by my chair? If feels good to be done with the front entryway. LOL

I'm not a fan of artificial trees either. I was suggesting a real one.

Oops , my bad! The only thing I think about is watering the tree making sure that the water doesn’t leak onto carpet.

Were you thinking may be a ficus tree? What other trees would do good to live inside and also what height should it be? I’m thinking it probably needs to be taller than my chair.

That all looks nice, nothing is wrong with any of the chest or art. The art has many colors. It works with chest. I say u finally did it!

By tv cabinet if u like a tall vase or nothing more. Unless u want a small round table by chair?

My style is traditional and I do not think a vase would be a good option for me.

My IKEA picture frames came in very impressed with them. I’m trying to come up with how to display them on the wall. What do you think of the placement of the picture frames? They enclosed paper that I cut out I’m trying to display on the wall.

S. luv, I think it looks great the way you have them. (How convenient that they give you paper templates to hang on the wall before you start making holes.) Now all you have to do is figure out what to put in them, though for now you could hang them with the prints they came with.

I wasn’t sure if they were hung too close to one another. They came in a box wrapped very good being cushioned .Each frame had shrink wrap around it also. On the back, they have real good hanging parts to hang them vertical or horizontal. These frames were very good selection.Thank you for recommending a IKEA.

Oops. Rehang your grouing on the right to match the way you had the templates in your photo above. Either raise the two frames on the right, or lower the three on the left so their bottoms align.

Since the frames are so small, I want you to spread them just a bit more and then align them along the red lines as I show below. Please note that I switched up your frames on the right so that the portrait of the two people is on the left side of the group. That's because they are facing to the right.

Those walls have been bare for two years since I moved into my new house. I figured it was time to do something. The only thing I am wondering should I look for something that is about the width of the TV above it such as a sign that says family or home?I am trying to make my home look more inviting. Thank you for all your help.

Nothing over the TV. Something under the frames, perhaps. That's why I suggested a longer console.


Try moving the chair and lamp closer to the right of the console and find something--a plant, stool, pouf--to put on the other side of the console to give more visual weight to the lower part of the wall.

You can put a basket, or you can leave that edge of the fireplace blank. It doesn't have to be filled. Maybe the basket could go to the left of the console. That's where you need something for balance.

The present console is fine. I’d get a longer rug, so that it ends beyond the console, and one not so busy (it crowds a small space). I’d pass on the wall clock, it’s just too big to stand back and see, and the oversized wall clock is trendy kitsch of the early 2000s.

If you really want to spend? That trans one window is a bit odd. It should be trimmed out to match and be one with the door. Right now it looks like the budget was eaten at the door store and then we ran out.

I Found this basket today for blankets. Do you think that is suitable?

It would be hard to view tv there with the chair. Can it go to other side? Then put basket there. At left of tv large art might look better? Or a baby godfather clock.

The basket is good. I like the way the blankets spill out in your first photo.

I like the basket there and I’m not going to put anything else near it. I actually found this basket hidden underneath a table at Kirklands. They gave me a 30% discount that they are having online this weekend. So it was a good buy. It is very sturdy and well made.
